One Fleet Job Suitability API

Filter jobs
by vehicle fit
before they
reach a driver.

For marketplaces, exchanges and allocation platforms. Send one job and one registered vehicle profile — any fuel type — and get back suitable, conditional or unsuitable with a brief reason, before the job is ever shown to a driver.

Why it matters

A job a vehicle cannot do wastes everybody’s day.

Drivers accept work that turns out not to fit: the pallet is longer than the load space, the weight is over payload, the delivery point sits inside a clean air zone the vehicle cannot enter without a charge. Filtering earlier means fewer failed collections, fewer re-allocations and fewer disputes.

What it checks

  • Payload

Job weight against the vehicle's legal payload capacity, with the headroom shown.

  • Dimensions

Length, width, height and volume of the load against the load space.

  • Equipment

Tail lift, refrigeration and similar requirements against what the vehicle carries.

  • Zone compliance

ULEZ and UK clean air zones, from fuel type, gross weight and Euro standard.

  • Working day

Distance and duration against an eleven-hour working day.

  • Range · electric only

For an electric vehicle, whether the job fits inside working range — one factor among several, not the whole answer.

Fuel-agnostic by design. Diesel, petrol, hybrid and electric vehicles are all judged on the same universal fit; electric adds range and charging as further factors on top.

This endpoint is live in this application as a prototype. It is stateless, stores nothing, and returns estimates from the values supplied. Authentication, rate limiting and a versioned contract come with a partner integration.

How it relates to the rest of One Fleet

It is the same engine and the same question — can this vehicle do the job? The Mission API answers it in depth for a full working mission, including energy, charging and observed outcomes. The Job Suitability API answers the fast, universal part of it at marketplace scale, for one job and one vehicle.
