One Fleet Technologies Ltd
A UK
commercial-
mobility
company.
One Fleet Technologies is developing a vehicle–mission decision API for commercial fleets. It combines vehicle specifications, payload, route, weather and operating conditions to assess whether a vehicle can reliably complete a working mission. Real outcomes are then compared with predictions to build an evidence layer for future vehicle procurement, allocation and dispatch decisions.
Team
Matt Ford
Founder
Commercial transport operator, bringing first-hand experience of running electric commercial vehicles in UK transport work. The product exists because the decision it answers was a daily operational problem.
Michael Lewis
Technical collaborator — in discussion
Contributing to the calculation layer on an informal basis. No role, equity or time commitment has been formally agreed, and none is claimed.
Expertise we still need
- Fleet procurement and vehicle-allocation practitioners.
- Vehicle energy modelling and validation.
- Commercial partnerships across leasing, telematics and charging platforms.
What we have learned
- The founder operates commercial transport in the real world, including electric commercial vehicle work in the UK.
- Manufacturer range figures are not an operating answer: payload, cold weather and stop density move real consumption materially.
- Fleets ask one question before buying or allocating — can this vehicle do this job? — and existing tools answer a different one.
- Pilot discovery is underway with UK fleet and charging partners.
Only verifiable statements are listed here. No customer numbers, deployments or operational scale are claimed.
Development stage
Working prototype. The mission assessment, validation and evidence record are usable today. The public API interface and automated charging coordination are planned, not released.
- Live — mission assessment engine, validation of predicted versus observed results, mission passports, mapping, routing and weather inputs.
- Prototype — fleet evidence dashboard, journey recording, assistant access to a signed-in workspace.
- Planned — public API licence, telematics and charge-point integrations, automated charging coordination.
- Synthetic — One Fleet Care demonstrator and the Quinn Labs research archive. No real patient or customer data is used anywhere.
The defensible asset
The moat is not the interface. It is the accumulating record of predicted versus observed missions: every validated run tells us how a specific vehicle behaves under a specific payload, temperature, route and duty cycle. That evidence cannot be bought, scraped or published by a manufacturer, and it makes each subsequent assessment more defensible than the last.
Immediate goal
Validate the engine in the field: run paid pilots with UK commercial fleets and secure data and charging partners so predictions can be checked against real operating outcomes at volume.
How it is paid for
Fleet pilot
Fixed implementation and evaluation fee for a defined set of vehicles and missions.
Fleet subscription
Priced per vehicle or per depot once a pilot converts.
API access
Usage-based or annual licence for platforms embedding the decision.
Later customers — leasing providers, vehicle marketplaces, charge-point platforms, telematics providers and manufacturers — are the expansion route, not active accounts.
